- SRQ Vets, a veteran-led nonprofit in Sarasota delivering comprehensive services—from mental health to home repairs—creates a powerful synergy. SRQ Vets combines this peer-driven support with structured services like equine therapy, job and VA assistance, and community events .
Together, both foundations offer emotional connections and practical resources: Buddy Up sessions enhance camaraderie and reduce isolation, while SRQ Vets’ Horses & Heroes equine therapy program supports healing for post-9/11 veterans facing PTSD, anxiety, or depression. By uniting compassionate peer networks with therapeutic programming and hands-on support, this partnership ensures veterans feel seen, understood, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.
